Electronic Services
Registered postgraduate students have access to email services, cloud services, and course websites through the Helios platform. In addition, the Computer Center provides modern computing systems and a wide range of software tools, aligned with current technological developments, to which all postgraduate students are granted access in order to meet needs arising either in the context of their courses or for the preparation of their diploma thesis.
At the same time, the School of Chemical Engineering operates a Personal Computer Laboratory consisting of 3 rooms with a total capacity of 110 workstations. The laboratory is used for the teaching and practice of core courses in programming and personal computer use, and supplements and supports student education wherever this is considered necessary by the teaching staff. It also supports the preparation of diploma theses, the research work of doctoral candidates, and provides faculty members with computing support for their teaching and research obligations. It is also used for the organization of seminars of special interest to Chemical Engineers.
Academic Identity Card
Postgraduate students are issued an academic identity card valid for the official duration of the postgraduate program. As a student pass, it provides discounts on buses, trains, ferries, museums, and cultural events, at rates ranging from 25% to 50%. Information on the issuance process is available through the Academic Identity Card Electronic Service. The cards indicate the exact validity period of the student pass entitlement. In cases where a student is not entitled to a student pass, the card serves as a simple identity card. The Academic Identity Card is also available through the Gov.gr Wallet on the holder’s mobile phone.
Meal Card
The meal card entitles students whose family income is below a specified threshold to free meals at the NTUA restaurants (at both the Zografou Campus and Patision). Information and supporting documents for the meal card are provided by the Student Welfare Department (Thomaideio Building of Publications). Other students may also dine at the above-mentioned restaurants at a small cost.
Library & Information Center
The Institution’s Central Library is located on the Zografou Campus and serves NTUA faculty, students, as well as many engineers, scientists, and students from other higher education institutions. With a total area of 7,000 m2, the Central Library includes a 500-seat reading room, 38 individual study spaces, and 6 group study rooms (for groups of at least 3 people, with a maximum duration of 3 hours), 6 computer workstations, and 4 photocopying machines operating with magnetic cards. The same building also houses the Historical Library of NTUA as a special collection. The NTUA Library operates as a lending library for all members of the university community as well as NTUA alumni. A library card, which is strictly personal, is required for borrowing. The borrowing period depends on the type of material and the status of the user (undergraduate student, postgraduate student, doctoral candidate, research associate, technical and administrative staff, or faculty member). Psychological Counseling and Support Center (KE.PSY.SY.)
The Psychological Counseling and Support Center (KE.PSY.SY.) provides psychological support and psychosocial counseling services to the student population of the Institution, as well as to all members of the NTUA community. Its purpose is to promote mental health through early intervention, crisis intervention, combating social stigma, fostering an inclusive academic environment, and providing specialized psychosocial counseling services. It also aims to raise awareness among members of the Institution on issues related to mental health. The Center is staffed by a Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, and a Social Worker.

Unit for Equal Access for Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Special Educational Needs
The Unit for Equal Access for Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Special Educational Needs operates as a reference point and support structure, ensuring that every NTUA student has the opportunity to fully develop their academic potential and participate actively in university life, in an environment of respect and inclusion. Its mission is to ensure the equal participation of all students in the educational process and university life. With respect for diversity and with the aim of creating a supportive environment, the Unit works to remove all kinds of barriers—physical, educational, or social—that may limit access to studies.
The NTUA Equal Access Unit is administratively part of the NTUA Directorate of Student Welfare. It is based on a network of Faculty Advisors from each School of NTUA, as well as designated staff members in each Secretariat. Internal Operating Regulation of the Equal Access Unit
Healthcare
The Medical Department provides healthcare services to the Institution’s staff and students and operates as a unit for handling emergencies, providing first aid, and offering assistance within NTUA premises. Uninsured students who are planning to travel to European Union countries for studies or vocational training may obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), in order to have access to healthcare during their stay in the host country. The medical office is located in the center of the Zografou Campus, on the ground floor of the School of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences general courses building, next to the central square. Other Services
NTUA also operates a Music Department, whose services are addressed to all NTUA students and staff, who may attend courses in:
- Music
- Theatre
- Dance
At the same time, student music groups may use the Music Studio.
The Theatre and Dance Sections are volunteer groups operating under the auspices of the Music Department. Registration for Music Department activities takes place once a year, at the beginning of the academic year, following a relevant announcement. The Music Department is housed in the Patision complex (Athens). The Dance Section also has extensive activities on the Zografou Campus.

NTUA also operates a Physical Education Department, which includes two gym facilities: a state-of-the-art indoor sports hall at the Zografou Campus (near the Zografou Student Residence) and another one at the Patision complex (Bouboulinas Building, 5th floor). The sports center at the Zografou Campus includes an indoor court for ball games and multiple uses, with a seating capacity of 800 spectators. In these facilities, as well as in sports venues outside the Institution, high-quality sports services are provided under the guidance of experienced staff across three main areas:
- Sports training in activities such as: Sailing, Windsurfing, Scuba Diving, Water Skiing, Alpine Skiing, Horse Riding, Climbing, Paragliding, Rafting, Beach Volleyball, Yoga, Pilates, Total Body, Tabata, Cross Training, Futsal, Padel, Martial Arts, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Water Polo, 3×3 Basketball, Track and Field, Underwater Rugby, etc.
- Organization of annual internal championships in Basketball, 3×3 Basketball, 5×5 Football, Futsal, Table Tennis, Tennis, Beach Volleyball, and Billiards, serving as a strong hub for student participation and socialization.
- Participation of the Institution’s representative sports teams in national, international, European, and world university championships, achieving notable distinctions that establish NTUA’s Sports Department as a leading presence in university athletics.
