In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the Law 4624/2019 (official gazette Α΄137/2019), the PIPP-ESAS fully complies with the NTUA applied policy on the personal data protection (Personal Data Protection), in order to secure the privacy of candidates, students and graduates of the Program.
The National Technical University collects and processes only the personal data you have provided, and which are necessary for specific and clearly defined purposes. The processing concerns the personal data provided to NTUA during your registration at any under- or postgraduate program, or when you submit a request, such as:
- Identity Data, such as username, First Name, Surname, Middle Name, Photo, Identity or Passport Number, Issuing Authority, Date of Edition
- Contact data, such as postal address, email address, telephone number
- Demographic Data, such as Nationality, Citizenship, Religion, Date and Place of Birth, Country of Birth, Citizen Registration Protocol
- Health Data, such as Medical Opinions, Medical certificates
- Biographical data
In those cases where the processing is based on obtaining consent, the NTUA follows the procedures provided by law for obtaining this consent.
All personal data collected by the NTUA in full compliance with European and National Legislation, they are processed lawfully and legitimately in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject and only the necessary personal data which are each time required for the respective purpose of the processing, are collected exclusively for special and legal purposes and they are kept exclusively within the specified time frame, determined by the applicable legal and regulatory framework and are processed in such a way as to ensure their necessary protection.
The data subject has the following rights:
- The right to information and transparency (GDPR articles 12-14)
- The right of access (GDPR article 15)
- The right to rectification (GDPR article 16)
- The “right to be forgotten”, also known as the right to erasure (GDPR article 17)
- The right to data portability (GDPR article 20)
- The right to object (GDPR article 21)
- The right to limit the processing (GDPR article 18)
- The right to withdraw consent (GDPR article 14)
